Red Hot Fashion Tips Have you always wanted to wear red but aren't sure how to wear such a bold and confident color? Stylist Darcy Camden gave pointers on the best ways to rock the color this Valentine's Day! LOOK #1: RED JACKET Do: Spruce up your work wardrobe with a bright red jacket. Surprisingly versatile, a red jacket will pair beautifully with your neutral basics, like white shirts, black pants and jeans. Don't: Wear a full red suit. Lots of stores/brands are selling red jackets with coordinating red pants or skirts. You can buy the set, just wear pants on their own and the jacket on its own. LOOK #2: RED SKIRT Do: Pair red with pink--trust me, it works!--for a flirty, feminine look. Color blocking is a huge trend, and it's easy to do in your own closet by pairing two similar colors together. Don't: Wear a too-short skirt. Look for a red skirt that hits knee-length or below (think Mad Men). LOOK #3: RED PANTS Do: Look for red-colored versions of your favorite pants (think about the pants you wear most often--skinny jeans? wide leg trousers? cropped khakis?--and find them in red). Don't: Wear red pants if you're self conscious about your hips and thighs. Wear a red shirt instead to draw attention to your face and top section of your body. LOOK # 4: RED SHOES Do: Swap out your basic black shoes for a a pair of sassy red shoes on Valentine's Day (or any day). A red shoe will instantly liven an all-neutral outfit, like a Little Black Dress.
